Our Big Lunch coincided with the Jubilee weekend. It was actually to raise funds for the church and a cancer charity, but being on that particular weekend, hordes of folk came along. One of the biggest attractions was the longest banana split in Argyll ,made in , new , I might add, plastic guttering pipe. This was a great hit.
Two locals provided music with accordian, bodhran and fiddle and some “stripped the willow”
We raised a pleasing amount of money, due to the fact that many holiday makers had sailed in to the bay.
The banana split is a brilliant idea …sets the mind thinking as to what else could be record breakingly extended.
Nothing wrong with coinciding with something bigger and thus benefiting a good cause, Jenni. 🙂 The mammoth banana split was a fantastic idea!
